Tuna Sauce For Pasta
Spring onion in combination with garlic and parsley is the main flavor of this sauce for pasta.
INGREDIENTS:
500 gr. spaghetti, cooked
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
1 onion, chopped
1 spring onion, sliced
1 cup (200 ml ) tomato juice
1 can (195 gr.) canned tuna in brine, drained
1/2 cup fresh parsley, chopped
3 tablespoons red table wine
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 tablespoon sugar
grated white or black pepper to taste
Put the oil in a heavy bottom sauce pan and heat it. Add the onions, garlic and fry for a while until onions are becoming soft then ad tuna slices, fry for 2 minutes then add the wine. Stir until wine evaporates.
Add tomato juice, salt, sugar, pepper, parsley. Cover the pan and simmer the sauce for 20 minutes on a medium heat.
Serve the sauce on top of cooked spaghetti.
