Broccoli Sauce

BROCCOLI SAUCE FOR PASTA

A creamy vegetable sauce that is going to make your pasta a very beautiful dish with its green color. A perfect way to serve broccoli to children tat do not eat this vegetable otherwise.

INGREDIENTS:

400 gr.fresh broccoli (cut of the florets and boil them in a salty water for 4 minutes. Take them out and put them in a bowl with col water and ice cubes. Then drain them. Keep several florets for decorating and put the rest in the fppd processor and make it a puree).

1 onion chopped

2 cloves garlic sliced

3 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon salt

white pepper

1 cup (200 ml) heavy cream

1/2 grated Parmigiana cheese

Fry the onion in the oil on low heat until it is soft and tender (add some water if needed). When the onion is ready add the garlic and fry it until it changes color. Then add the broccoli cream, salt, white pepper and heavy cram. Simmer for several minutes and the sauce is ready.

You can add the pasta in the sauce. Stir well and then serve with grated Parmigiana cheese on top.

Or serve the pasta on a dish add several tablespoons of the sauce on top and sprinkle Parmigiana cheese.

If you are a vegetarian you could 1 teaspoon grated almonds on the top with the cheese.
