Tomato And Capers Sauce


A sauce that would have been just one plain tomato sauce without the saltiness of the pickled caper berries. You are going to love this combination of ingredients.


1 cup (250 gr) tomato sauce

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 medium sized onion sliced

1 tablespoon pickled caper berries

1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

1 green pepper sliced

1/2 tablespoon salt

1 tablespoon fresh parsley chopped

Put the oil in a pan with high lids. Add the onion, capers, oregano and salt and simmer until onion is tender and juices are evaporated. At this point add the tomato juice, green pepper, parsley and several tablespoons of the water where u cooked your pasta (if possible if not add warm tab water). Cover the pan and cook the sauce for 20 minutes. Add the pasta in the sauce, stir well and serve.
